Retirement has opened the door for me to embrace my passions fully! Now I'm a full-time photographer, writer, and artist. There's always a furry supervisor on my lap (my cat!), and I love tending to my garden. I'm thoroughly enjoying this creative freedom, I can't wait to travel again and capture new places through my lens.

Lovely shot and you got the "collar" too! I appreciated seeing this fine image and with the naming of the species, it is now featured on the home page of Wild Birds Of The World - A Nature Photography Group.
Jean Evans replied:
Thank you!!! I was so glad I'd taken my camera to my friends that day. I'd only seen mourning doves in our area before, so finding a new species of bird I'd not noticed before and getting a picture of it was so nice.
